FLASHFORGE_Flyer_FRONT FLASHFORGE_Flyer_FRONT FLASHFORGE_Flyer_FRONT FLASHFORGE_Flyer_FRONT A refreshing variant of the LCW (1946), the Upholstered LCW sports Kvadrat Divina fabric on its front side. Hailed by Time magazine as the Best Design of the 20th Century, this iconic chair began as an experiment in the Eameses’0I apartment, where they were molding plywood in what they called the ’0LKazam! Machine.’0M The machine pressed thin sheets of wood veneer against a heated membrane that was inflated by a bicycle pump. Humble beginnings for what would become one of the world’0Is most widely recognized and highly coveted chairs. Low-slung, with an expertly crafted molded seat and back (no bike pumps are used today), this chair cradles you in a comfortable position. Its form relates directly to the human body and holds no secrets as to how it succeeds technically. Rubber shock mounts buffer against jarring movement. *DWR (2014) http://www.dwr.com/product/eames-upholstered-molded-plywood-lounge-chair-lcw.do
